School trip to Canterbury Cathedral

My school went on a trip to Canterbury Cathedral it was really good! Take a look at these pics.

These are the swords that killed St Thomas a Beckett. St Thomas was the arch bishop of Canterbury during the reign of King Henry 2nd. He wasn't supposed to be killed but Henry was annoyed with him because he wouldn't let him do what he wanted. They had been best friends but then God became Thomas' best friend. The knights thought that Henry wanted him killed so they did it!

We did a short play about it and I was one of the knights called Reginald.

We also did a workshop in the education room. I enjoyed making a stained glass window.
